Facebook and YouTube Blocked in Montenegro
Montenegro government has issued a policy to block access to Facebook and YouTube at all the existing institutions. The employees in the city are by disappointment.
Network administrator explained that the government of Montenegro must do this to prevent the declining performance of network bandwidth capacity due to huge bandwidth allocated by accessing both sites. This is relevant because both Facebook and Youtube are mostly contains pictures and video content, which can take bandwidth in large numbers.
Montenegro is a city with a population of 650,000 inhabitants, and has a significant number of internet users. Even as much as 14,100 residents recorded as Facebookers. The popularity of YouTube has also a significant increase in this region. Refer to data, Internet penetration in Montenegro increased rapidly. This year the penetration reached 40 percent.
